Bricks are laid at All Children's Playground

The first batch of memorial bricks has been laid at the All Children's Playground in Peachtree City, and playground organizers want people to know that bricks are on sale for the next increment.

About 200 bricks have already been placed inside the fence at the playground. The four- by eight-inch bricks feature three lines of engraving with a maximum of 14 spaces per line, including letters, spaces and all other designations. Bricks are being sold for $35 each, $30 each for two to three bricks, or $25 each for four or more.

The bricks are being installed in batches of 200. Playground Committee Chairman Colleen Sugar hopes to have 200 more bricks ready to be installed concurrent with phase two of the playground, which is being planned for this spring.

"The bricks make a great gift idea for grandparents, or for teachers, or even as a Valentine's Day present," said Sugar.

Those interested in purchasing bricks can contact Colleen Sugar at 770-486-3772, or for information phone the Recreation Department at 770-631-2542.
