Local community on IBS tour of homes

Colony Homes, one of Atlanta's largest home builders, has announced that its Sable Chase Community is among the 12 communities selected for the tour of homes of the International Builders' Show.

Sable Chase is Colony's first community in South Fulton.

The show will be at the Georgia World Congress Center Feb. 8 - 11.

The annual tour showcases a variety of residential development by premier builders in the Atlanta area.

According to Builder magazine, "The object at Sable Chase, as it is in all Colony Homes' developments, is to give the first-time buyer 'the power to own'."

The company conducted numerous focus groups and other marketing studies to ensure that the top priority of prospective buyers paralleled Colony's goals: giving home owners "more house for the money."

The current top selling home in the Sable Chase development is the Avalon, at a base price of $127,500.

"Its roomy 2,092 square feet is a lot of house for the money," said Builder magazine.

The three model homes on display are the Bradford, the Windsor and the Buckingham, from the Colony Collection of Homes. These floor plans feature both three- and four-bedroom models, with two or two and a half baths.

Including these three designs, home buyers have a choice of ten different floor plans of up to 2,832 square feet and they come in a variety of configurations, including three, four and five bedrooms, two-story and ranch. Upon completion, this phase of the community will have more than 390 homes.

In addition to floor plan choices, buyers can choose different facades, including brick or stone accents, along with interior options.

All Colony Homes communities have mandatory homeowner associations to protect buyers' value and investment.

Colony Homes has been building in the Atlanta area for more than 25 years. The company was recently named the third largest builder in the Atlanta area and is the largest privately owned home builder in Georgia.
