Peachtree City Police have arrested two local men for stealing a golf cart in the Saddlebrook Court area Dec. 17.

Austin Eugene Miller, 21, and Thomas Michael Tempera, 20, both of Peachtree City, are charged with felony counts of theft by taking-motor vehicle.

The vehicle was later found abandoned at the Glenloch soccer fields, said Maj. Mike DuPree of the Peachtree City Police Department. Evidence uncovered during the investigation led to warrants being issued for the pair's arrest on the theft charge, he added.

Police are also offering a $500 reward for anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of persons responsible for nine other golf cart thefts that occurred last year, DuPree added.

Anyone with information on those incidents is asked to contact the police department's Criminal Investigations Division at 770-631-2510.
