Wednesday, January 9, 2002 King Forest teams collect 'Toys for Tots' The U. S. Marine Corps "Toys for Tots" Campaign was the beneficiary from a Christmas Luncheon and Agents Open House held Dec. 12 at King Forest Estates, located off King Mill Road in McDonough. Each person attending the event was asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy, and for each toy donated, Bob and Pam Chaney of Sunflower Properties contributed another toy. Food was provided by Mary Stroud of "Ask Mary", and Santa Claus was on hand, as portrayed by Bob Chaney. Staff Sgt. Morales was also in attendance to accept the donated toys for the "Toys for Tots" campaign. Sponsors of the event were Donna Tidwell and The HomeTeam from Coldwell Banker Bullard Realty, the marketing team for the community; Bob and Pam Chaney of Sunflower Properties, the builder; and Joe Farro of Primary Capital Mortgage. The open house was held to present Phase II of King Forest Estates, which contains a total of 62 homesites and offers homes priced from the $190,000s to the $270,000s.
