Marshall attends financial course

Gary Marshall, broker at Assist 2 Sell Buyer and Seller Realty Center, recently attended a three-day Financial Management and Planning course at the Golden Nugget Hotel in Las Vegas.

The course was presented by the Council of Real Estate Brokerage Managers, which is a nonprofit affiliate of the National Association of Realtors. The Council provides superior member benefits to enhance the productivity and profitability of its 7,000 members nationwide. Its courses and seminars are the most comprehensive educational resources available for real estate brokers and managers.

These days, profitability for many real estate businesses is razor-thin. The Financial Management and Planning course curriculum included using financial statements as management tools, projecting your bottom line potential, setting realistic financial objectives, forecasting revenue, budgeting for expenses, regulating cash flow and taking control of costs.

After attending the course, brokers and managers are able to clearly see where their office stands and how to increase the firm's profitability along with offering top-notch service. "Being able to network with other top brokers and managers from across the country was also a great benefit," said Marshall.

Marshall holds the Certified Residential Brokerage (CBR) and Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designations. As a CRS, he is in the top 5 percent of all Realtors in the United States. He was elected to Who's Who in Residential Real Estate in North America in 1996.

Licensed since 1978, Marshall has helped more than 1,300 families get happily moved. He lives with his wife and family in Newnan.
