A Frito Lay deliveryman was robbed at gunpoint in Fayetteville during lunchtime Tuesday afternoon.

The suspect fled the Flash Foods convenience store in a white 1999 Chevy P40, but police were unable to find the suspect, according to a police report filed by the Fayetteville Police Department.

The suspect was described as a black male, approximately five feet nine inches, 145 pounds with a dark complexion and gold teeth. He got away with $240 in cash.

Anyone with information that could help police in the investigation should contact the Fayetteville Police Department at 770-461-4441.

It is not clear whether the deliveryman, who works for Frito-Lay in Atlanta, was confronted inside the store or outside near his delivery truck. A police spokesman could not be reached before The Citizen's early deadline.

The report did not list what type of gun was used nor whether the deliveryman was injured. Although police got the tag off the vehicle, it is not known if the vehicle had been stolen before the robbery.
