PTC Recreation Department offering online registration for classes, activities and events

Beginning Saturday, Peachtree City residents will be able to point and click their way to registering for classes and activities from their home computer.

This new service, offered through the department's Web site, will allow patrons to view class and activity offerings, register for particular events and pay online ... all without a trip to the recreation department.

Customers wishing to register in person will still be allowed to do so, and they will now be allowed to use American Express, Discover, VISA and MasterCard in addition to the traditional check or cash payments.

The online registration system also comes with a major change to the registration process for classes and activities. All classes will have the same registration date for a given month.

Peachtree City residents will be able to register starting on the 15th of each month through the class start date. Patrons who live outside the city will be able to register on the 20th.

"This will save people a great deal of time," said Susan Taylor of the recreation department. "Before, a parent with three children in different classes might have to come in three different times of the month to register. Now they can do it once, and from home on their computer if they want."

For more information about these new services, see the Recreation Activities catalog available at city facilities and local grocery stores, or call the recreation department at 770-631-2542.
