The Hollingsworth House was filled with water colors, oils and wooden sculptures as The Fayette Society of Fine Arts gave its first exhibit.

Cochaired by Vicki Turner and Cathie Payton, the showing was entitled "The Visions of Art" with more than 50 works submitted by members.

Member Pam Hardin donated a water color of the Point Loma Lighthouse in San Diego for the silent auction.

The society is a nonprofit organization founded in 1994 in response to the needs of local artists to share their interests. It invites the community to attend its art shows and to support the growth of its artists. This support provides the artists the possibility of acquiring needed funding as well as promoting the artistic endeavors of each member.

The group meets second Mondays at the Heritage Bank, 440 N. Jeff Davis Drive, Fayetteville, at 7 p.m.

For information phone Sheri Anderson, president, at 770-716-8006.
