Eagle project enhances school Matthew Roberts recently completed his Eagle Scout project at the Joseph Sams School in Fayetteville, a school serving children with special needs. Roberts chose an outdoor facility that would serve as a nature classroom with wheelchair accessibility and extensive landscaping. He led numerous Scouts and adults in the project, with the main focus an eight-by-eight-foot gazebo purchased through fund-raising that spanned most of the past year. Roberts has been a member of Troop 181 since first grade, when he joined the Tiger Cubs. He proceeded through Cub Scouts, Webelos and Boy Scouts and is a member of the Order of the Arrow. As a senior at McIntosh High School, he serves as lieutenant governor for the 8th District Key Club and plans to attend college after graduation next May.
