Plenty of crafty treats at Scrapbooks & More

Step into a house filled with stickers, rubber stamps and paper of various sizes, shapes and textures.

A house with a large selection of albums, markers and die cuts, as well as magazines, books and two classrooms for teaching you to preserve your memories.

A house where you can learn to stamp, make books, collage art, paint and draw.

A house that offers samples of Chai and Wassail on cold fall and winter days.

A house that the customers come in just to say hello, check on what is new, and sometimes bring their lunch.

Welcome to Scrapbooks & More.

Due to popular demand, Scrapbooks & More quickly grew out of its former location inside The Yellow Cottage. Wanting to continue the homelike atmosphere in the new store, the owners moved just two houses away and now occupy the entire bottom floor of a remodeled house now known as Paper Rose Studio.

The store offers a friendly atmosphere and a large selection of scrapbooking, rubber stamping and paper art supplies. Classes are a very important part of the store, and an extensive schedule is offered. Customer service and a knowledgeable staff is a high priority.

Each teacher is very experienced in the classes he or she teaches. Many of the teachers travel to different states to attend conferences and workshops and enhance their knowledge.

The store also offers cropping parties every other Monday evening and the second and fourth Friday night of every month. Cropping parties were dubbed the "quilting bees of the 90s" and continue to be popular in 2001. The scrapbookers bring their pictures and supplies to the store and spend the evening working on their books. The idea of a night out and uninterrupted time to scrapbook is a treat in many ways.

In addition to cropping parties, Scrapbooks & More also has a stamp club, which meets the third Sunday afternoon of each month. Both cropping parties and stamp clubs require preregistration. Call the store for more details.

Chai (a spiced tea) and Wassail (spiced apple cider) are personal favorites of the staff of Scrapbooks & more. During the holidays the store sells gift baskets with scrapbooking and stamping supplies, Chai and Wassail to help with holiday gift giving.

The classrooms are also available for conferences, groups, and independent teachers, as well as birthday parties for children.

For more information on any of its services, call Scrapbooks & More at 770-632-8623. The store is at 1991 Ga. Highway 54 West, about one block from the Peachtree City limits, next to the Karate Center. It is open 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursdays, 1-5 p.m. Sundays (until Christmas), and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. all other days.
