CVS on track at Lexington By CAROLYN
CARY
CVS Pharmacy's plans for a new store on Ga. Highway 54 in Peachtree City moved a step closer with approval of its site plan. The plan was the only item on the Peachtree City Planning Commission agenda. Peter Corbit, representing Phillips Partnership, general architects for the planned Lexington Circle mixed-use development, displayed a drawing showing the placement of the proposed pharmacy. It would be on 2.08 acres at what will be one of several entrances into the overall development from Ga. Highway 54. The plan was approved unanimously with the following conditions: 1. The applicant must continue to coordinate with city staff, the Planning Commission representative and the Lexington Circle Architectural Review Board; 2. There can not be more than 12 parking spaces in a continuous row without a landscaped island; 3. If there are substantial changes to the conceptual site plan, a new plan must be developed and re-submitted; 4. The staff and architects must work together for updated details as the site develops. CVS representative Roger Brown said that the busiest times for a pharmacy are 4-7 p.m. and holidays. Commission members Dr. Rich Schumacher and Robert Ames volunteered to be on the committee.
