Murphy is the choice of firefighters' local for mayor

The concerns about our safety and security after the events of Sept. 11 weigh heavily on the minds of all of us. There are issues on the horizon that will affect our country, state, county, and city that are still unseen.

This is why we need people in leadership positions that have the passion and the courage to stand strong and keep our families best interest at heart.

Therefore, the members of Professional Firefighters of Local 4008 of The International Association of Firefighters enthusiastically announce our endorsement of Frank Murphy for mayor of Peachtree City.

Frank has the experience and proven leadership to guide our city forward. His affiliation with the Peachtree City Fire Department first as a volunteer, then as a paramedic, and finally as director of emergency medical services, along with his extensive business experience, demonstrates his knowledge of our needs and concerns as public safety professionals.

Frank has proven in the past and continues to demonstrate today his commitment to serve this city. Therefore, we encourage the citizens of Peachtree City to join us and vote Frank Murphy Mayor of Peachtree City on Nov. 6.
