Brown will put average citizens' needs first This year's election in Peachtree City can be a watershed event. We have the opportunity to turn the city government from developer friendly to a government that puts the needs of the average citizen first. Steve Brown is the man who can lead us through this transition. I have known Steve for about five years and have found him to be dedicated to doing what is right for this city. I have personally seen him attending many city council and planning commission meetings, frequently speaking out on issues important to many of us. He served on the city's ethics board and worked on numerous volunteer projects. He has spent countless hours of his own time attending classes on city planning and government and researching key issues such as "big box" development, city planning and transportation, crime, open government, and the environmental impact of development. For several years, Steve had no interest in elective politics. Only recently, as he and many others saw the city council ignore the clearly expressed needs and desires of the citizens of Peachtree City, did he decide to enter the political arena. We need a change in Peachtree City and Steve Brown is the best qualified to lead us forward. I urge all citizens get out and vote on Nov. 6 and, if you feel as I do, vote Steve Brown for mayor.
