PTC Girl Scouts set to 'Make a Difference'

Brownies and Girl Scouts from Peachtree City Troop 254 will participate in the national Make A Difference Day Saturday, Oct. 27.

Girls from the troop and their families will plant six peach trees at the Peachtree City sign at the intersections of Ga. highways 54 and 74 from 8 - 9 a.m. The girls chose this volunteer community service project in their effort to make a positive difference in their own area.

Trees will be donated and delivered by David MckNight from Southeastern Wholesale Nursery in Peachtree City. City support to dig the holes, provide supplies and maintenance is provided by Bobby Thompson, public works superintendent.

The girls are under the leadership of Janet Phillips and Diana Philips. Project coordinator for Troop 254 Make A Difference Day is Teresa Quandt.
