Bracelets aid 9/11 fund By MICHAEL
BOYLAN
After the terrorist attacks Sept. 11, many people stepped up to volunteer whatever they had to help the victims and their families. Cary Pryor, a student at The Bedford School, wanted to do something to help as well. "We were watching the news at school and we wondered what we could do to help," said Pryor. "We thought if we sold something, we could donate the money we made." Pryor began to make bracelets with beads of patriotic colors and her classmates have helped out. The bracelets vary in design and price. So far, they have made more than 200 bracelets and have raised over $160. Mike Holmes, owner of an area Chic-fil-A, heard about the bracelets and invited them to be a part of the community yard sale and car wash last Sunday in the restaurant parking lot. The money raised by The Bedofrd School's booth would be donated to the New York 9/11 Relief Fund and the American Red Cross. Pryor and her classmates will continue to make the bracelets as long as people want them. If you would like to purchase some of the bracelets, phone The Bedford School at 770-774-8001.
