Wednesday, October 10, 2001 Firefighters honored Saturday Coldwell Banker Bullard Realty to Host Fire Fighter Appreciation Day Oct. 13
The Newnan office of Coldwell Banker Bullard Realty will be hosting a Fire Fighter Appreciation Day on Saturday, October 13, from 11 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The office is located on the corner of Highway 34 East and Highland Drive approximately two/tenths of a mile west of Thomas Crossroads. The Coweta County Fire Department will have a fire truck on display in front of the office. Young aspiring fire fighters can have their pictures taken in the driver's seat. Hot dogs will be served for lunch. There will be balloons and a clown for the children. For the adults there will be drawings for lots of door prizes, and there will be a coloring contest for children in grades k-4. "We want to show the fire fighters in Coweta County that we appreciate them and the job they do for us," said Linda Mitchell, managing broker of the Coldwell Banker Bullard Realty office. "Fire fighters were the heroes of the World Trade Center disaster and the public realizes more than ever how important their jobs are. Even though our local fire fighters have not had to deal with a disaster of the magnitude of the one in New York City, we appreciate them and hope the citizens of Newnan and Coweta County will come out and help us show our appreciation."
