Fayetteville police have recently arrested suspects in the armed robbery of a video store, a kidnapping at a local residence and several Hooters waitresses caught drinking alcohol at the restaurant.

According to a report from the Fayetteville Police Department, Gregory Bryan Walker, 21, of Fayetteville, told a clerk at the Blockbuster Video at 805 N. Glynn St. that he had a weapon when he entered the store late Wednesday afternoon. Walker took $136 from the clerk, according to the report.

Walker was later arrested and jailed on felony robbery charges. The report did not indicate what type of weapon Walker claimed to have at the time.

Police also arrested a Moreland man, charging him with kidnapping and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. According to warrants for his arrest, Richard Dean Abramski, 42, broke into a residence on Maple Court in the early morning hours of Friday, Sept. 14 by smashing through a bedroom window.

Abramski had two handguns during the incident, according to the warrants filed by the Fayetteville Police Department.

The two victims, Kelly Page and Jennifer Dunn Abramski, 32, also were arrested and charged with possession of cocaine, according to warrants. The incident took place at Page's residence.

In the incident at the Hooter's restaurant, an employee alerted police Friday, Sept. 14 that several off-duty employees were underage and drinking alcohol, according to a police report. The offenders were found to be intoxicated by the officer who responded to the call, the report said.

Arrested were:

Ashley Layne Western, 18, of Jonesboro, for furnishing alcohol to a minor;

Kimberly Nicole Williams, 19, of Morrow, for underage possession of alcohol

Mindy Lane Turner, 20, of Peachtree City for underage possession of alcohol, and

Margaret Ruth Lupo, 19, of Fayetteville.

Since Western is an employee of the establishment, Hooters could possibly have its liquor license suspended or revoked.
