P&Z to meet Tuesday night By MONROE ROARK
After skipping this month's work session, the Fayetteville Planning and Zoning Commission plans to meet next week for the regular meeting with little change to the agenda. The work session, scheduled for Sept. 11, was cancelled after the terrorist attacks in New York and Washington, and city officials saw no reason to reschedule it with the regular meeting already on the calendar for Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall. Agenda items include: Development plans and a variance request (parking regulations) for Chuck E. Cheese in the Fayette Retail Center on Ga. Highway 85 north. A variance request for Stonebriar (Phase III) at Lester and Old Norton roads. Development plans and a variance request for J&J Quality Homes concerning Lot 24 E. Industrial Park. A variance request (yard and fences) for Sandra B. Lunsford at 100 Kaylee Court. A rezoning request from C-3 (commercial) to PCD (planned development) for The Villages at Fayette Promenade. A variance request (area, yard, height requirement) for Fenwyck Commons. A special exception request for Hotlanta Wings at 885 N. Glynn Street (the former Buffalo's location). A rezoning request from DR-15 to C-2 (commercial) for Timothy R. Breyne at 180 S. Jeff Davis. Elevation plans for Haverty's Furniture at 11302 Hwy. 85 north (the former Roberds location). Preliminary Phase II development plans for The Villages at LaFayette Park. Land use for the southside master plan is listed as a discussion item.
