Pastors in Fayette asked to gather, pray for nation

Fayette area pastors are being asked to get together and pray for the nation.

"We're inviting any pastors or ministers in this community," said Gray Harwell, pastor of Cherith Ministries.

Several pastors who get together for a prayer breakfast every Tuesday decided to organize a special prayer gathering this coming Tuesday, in light of the current crisis over terrorism, Harwell said.

"We'll be praying about how we can be the body of Christ in the midst of this crisis," he said. "We're going to be praying for our president and leaders, for the families of the victims of the terrorist attacks, for our military and for the losses to our enemies. A number of pastors felt there was a need for this."

The gathering will be at Grace Evangelical Church, 8 - 10 a.m. Tuesday. Phone 770-487-0791.
