Security measures in place at PTC air traffic control facility By JOHN
MUNFORD
A Federal Aviation Administration spokesman has issued assurances that all is secure at the Atlanta air traffic control building (TRACON) located in south Peachtree City. Christopher White said Thursday morning that operations there are complying with all federal regulations, particularly when it comes to security measures. He would not elaborate on any of the security steps being followed by employees, managers and security staff there. There have been no violations of security at the facility, White added. "We are handling air traffic like we normally do," White said. To augment security at the TRACON facility, Peachtree City police officers were stationed at the two entrances to the facility off Ga. Highway 74 South. The TRACON represents the largest federal government building in Fayette County. Air traffic across the country was allowed to resume at a limited pace Thursday.
