Morrision selects Web company

Morrison Homes Selects SAP for E-Business Solutions Initiative to increase internal and external communications

Morrison Homes, one of the top 30 homebuilders in America and builder in Coweta County's SummerGrove, Avery Park and Heritage Ridge, has selected SAP America, Inc., to provide the builder with a fully integrated, Web-based communication solution.

To remain at the top of the competitive homebuilding industry, Morrison Homes recognized the need to develop an integrated system which would allow all of its employees and partners to easily access and share information. Morrison selected the mySAP.com® e-business platform as the best way to provide information to and enhance communications with its employees and vendors.

"SAP has been looking to expand its solutions to the homebuilding industry," said Kyle Bowker, senior vice president and general manager, manufacturing sector, SAP America Inc. "We are excited about teaming with Morrison Homes because they recognize the advantages that technology affords their industry."

Once complete, the Web-based system will connect all aspects of Morrison Homes' business. The initial design will include sales, finance and control, scheduling/vendor communication, purchasing, and warranty services.

"Better communication, internally and externally, is the ultimate goal," stated Gregg Goldenberg, vice president and project manager, SAP Initiative for Morrison Homes. "This integrated system will allow for a more timely exchange of information allowing us to communicate with our trade partners and help us to serve our customers even better than we do today."

Morrison Homes will also leverage the mySAP.com alliance to create electronic internal documents, which will cut down on paper-based communications and speed up the process of distributing information to its employee base.

The system, which should be configured over the next eleven months, will be initially rolled out in the Atlanta market.

Morrison Homes builds in 13 markets: Atlanta; Jacksonville, Orlando, Sarasota and Tampa, FL; Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston and San Antonio, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Denver, CO and Sacramento and San Francisco, CA. Morrison was named America's Best Builder in 2000 by Builder Magazine.
