Former handicapped students' records to be destroyed

If you are a handicapped student or the parent of a handicapped student who has graduated or withdrawn from the Fayette County School System, or who is now 22 or older, you have until Dec. 30 to get copies of your records.

That's when the school system will destroy records of those involved in its program for exceptional children under its comprehensive plan policy on destruction of data collected.

To get copies, phone Connie Kelley at the exceptional children's department, 770-460-3990, ext. 166. You will be required to produce identification.
