Public input sought for GBI reaccreditation bid The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is seeking public comment on its effort to meet reaccreditation standards from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies Inc. The reaccreditation process is a verification by an assessment team consisting of law enforcement practitioners from similar out of state agencies. The team will evaluate whether the GBI is meeting the commission's standards for all aspects of the bureau's policies and procedures, management, operations and support services. Once the team finishes its review, its recommendation will be reported to the commission for consideration. To offer written comments about the GBI's ability to meet reaccreditation standards, write to CALEA at 10306 Eaton Place, Suite 320, Fairfax, Va., 22030-2201.
