Crohn's/colitis group sets fund walk The ninth annual Pace Setter Walk presented by the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America is returning to Atlanta Saturday, Sept. 22. The walk, a WSB-TV Family2Family-sponsored event, is one of 25 walks taking place nationwide. Proceeds benefit the programs and services of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation Georgia Chapter. In addition, the Pace Setter Walk seeks to raise awareness about Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, serious and chronic diseases of the digestive tract, and to raise funds to find a cure. The 2.5-mile walk-a-thon will be at Atlanta's Chastain Park, beginning and ending at the Galloway School. Registration starts at 8 a.m. and the walk begins promptly at 9. Entertainment, food and prizes will be presented at the post-walk party. Plus, thanks to AirTran Airways, the grand prize of two round-trip airline tickets to any AirTran Airways destination will be presented to one lucky walker. For every $100 a walker raises, his/her name will be placed in the drawing. Sponsors (to date) include Solvay Pharmaceuticals, Warner Brothers, Randstad North America, CAMA, Airtran Airways, Meridian Springs Water, Eagle 106.7 FM and Rhubarb Jones. Phone the CCFA office at 404-982-0616.
