Wednesday, August 8, 2001 Monarch Village enjoys booming sales If the past six months are any indication, Monarch Village, a master-planned community in Henry County, should end the year as one of Atlanta's top-selling communities. Since January, Monarch has had more than 100 home sales, opened one of the largest residential water parks in Atlanta and unveiled nine designer model homes. Charles Biele, senior vice president and general manager of Pathway Communities, the developer of Monarch Village, believes the past six months are a continuation of the community's early momentum. "Since the opening of the Monarch Village Information Center just 14 months ago, the community has experienced one of the regions highest traffic and sales figures," says Biele. "Over 4,000 people have visited Monarch Village, resulting in nearly 200 home sales." Biele credits Monarch's popularity to its proximity to Hartsfield International Airport and downtown Atlanta, its unique amenity offerings, its vast amount of green space and its variety of home styles and price ranges. Home styles at Monarch Village range from traditional to turn-of-the-century and are priced from the low $100s to over $400,000. The community will feature a commercial Village Square with a variety of shops, offices and neighborhood services. An on-site elementary school is also proposed.
