Family moving into Scholarship House

The Dossett family, purchaser of the Home Builders Association of Midwest Georgia's latest Scholarship House, were recently welcomed by several representatives of the area home builders association.

The family, which moved into the new home in Senoia's Willow Dell subdivision from Newnan, consists of Melissa and Barry Dossett and their two sons, Blake, 9 years old, and Ryan, eight months old.

The association's Scholarship Program annually provides scholarships toward paying for the freshmen year in college for several students from the area served by the home builders group. Since the program was created 19 years ago, the association has awarded 136 scholarships totaling $198,500.

The Scholarship House is built utilizing volunteer time and materials from members of the association. Contributors to the Scholarship House in Willow Dell included All Seasons Heating & Air Conditioning; Builders Firstsource; Builders' Insulation; Building Specialties; Central Builders Supply; Chadwick Homes; D.K. Design; Fairburn Ready-Mix; Ferguson Plumbing Supply; Galvan Enterprises; Jeff Betsill Homes; K&R Mechanical Inc.; Metro Builders Supply; Oberg Construction; Plymart; Relyco; Residential Construction Specialties; Ryan Construction Inc.; Synmar; Wachovia; Walker Concrete; Wallace Drywall; and Woodland Cabinets.

The Home Builders Association of Midwest Georgia, which serves builders in Fayette, Coweta, Spalding, Heard and Meriwether counties, currently has around 461 members.
