Monson receives WCR training

Sue Monson (GRI) of Re/Max Results participated Aug. 4-5 in a two-day Leadership Academy sponsored by the Women's Council of Realtors, a national professional development organization with 14,000 members. Monson is the organization's president-elect for Fayette County.

By invitation only, 200 elected officers attended the academy, which provides leadership and chapter management training to WCR chapter presidents-elect. Monson learned techniques for team building and developing successful chapter business plans to effectively lead the Fayette County members during 2002.

"WCR focuses on providing quality training that equips upcoming leaders with the tools required to lead local members to their highest professional level," said Barbara Lach of the academy. "Sue is one of our exceptional new leaders who will guide her members in providing assistance to Fayette County home buyers. WCR is dedicated to offering training that will help our leaders provide the best service to their members and the Realtor community."

The conference was held in Chicago and covered a variety of skills, including networking, relationship building, electronic communications and meeting management.

The Fayette County chapter of WCR has 72 members and is a community of real estate professionals creating business opportunities, developing skills for the future, and achieving individual potential for success.
