Local dentist honored

The Academy of General Dentistry has announced that Andrew Newsome, DDS, of Fairburn, will be awarded the academy's prestigious Mastership Award Saturday night in New York.

Newsome earned the award by completing more than 1,100 hours of quality continuing dental education in the 16 disciplines of dentistry.
