Open houses set for area schools

Elementary Schools

Palmetto, 505 Carlton Rd., Palmetto, 770-463-6100. Principal: Brenda Robinson. Open house Aug. 9, 4-6 p.m.

Evoline C. West, 7040 Rivertown Rd., Fairburn, 770-969-3460. Principal: Nancy Said. Open house is Aug. 9, 6-8 p.m. Registration for new students is ongoing weekdays through Friday, Aug. 10, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Middle Schools

Bear Creek, 7415 Herndon Rd., Fairburn, 770-969-6080. Principal: Sandra DeShazier. Registration for new students Wednesday, Aug. 8, 10-11 a.m. for eighth graders, 1-2 p.m. for seventh graders, and 6-7 p.m. for sixth graders.

High Schools

Creekside, 7405 Herndon Rd., Fairburn, 770-306-4300. Principal: Stephen Schyck. New student orientation Aug. 9, 7 p.m. PTSA open house Monday, Aug. 27 p.m. Registration for new students weekdays through Friday, Aug. 10, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
