Plant thief should feel guilty, resident says

A Smokerise Plantation resident is unhappy about thieves who took over $300 of plants from the entrance to the subdivision sometime this weekend.

David Cree said someone stole about 300 geranium plants and three hostas either late Saturday or late Sunday night. He hopes publicizing the theft will at least make the thief feel a little guilty.

"I thought, how low and petty of someone to steal flowers," Cree said.

Cree said he felt the theft didn't come at the hands of a youngster.

"This is an adult who would do this," he said.
