Juvenile Justice districts changed for better service The Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice has reorganized its Community Corrections Districts in an effort to develop initiatives that better serve at-risk children and youth throughout the state. The Community Corrections Districts now coincide with the service delivery regions utilized by the state Department of Human Resources. This will allow for more collaboration between agencies so the services offered to children can be maximized. Fayette County is a part of the new District 3A, which includes Fulton, Douglas, Cherokee and Cobb counties. Preben Heidemann, a 15-year employee of the department, has been named director of District 3A. John Munford
