Scouts set blood drive Sat. Kedron Kroger will be the location for the Eagle Scout blood drive Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. "Local patients survive when donors give blood," said Barbara Spears, branch director for LifeSouth Community Blood Centers. "Blood has been in short supply during the summer months, and we all need to do our part." The drive is sponsored by Boy Scout Troop 75. Donors will receive recognition t-shirts and cholesterol screenings. You must be at least 17, weigh at least 103 pounds and show a valid photo ID. LifeSouth is a nonprofit organizations that supplies blood components for patients at numerous metro Atlanta hospitals. Kedron Kroger is at 1101 North Peachtree Parkway.
