Army Reserve Pvt. Bryan C. Lee has graduated from basic military training at Fort Leonard Wood, Waynesville, Mo.

During the training, the trainee received instruction in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, and Army history and traditions.

Lee is the son of William T. and Sharon F. Lee of Peachtree City, and a 1999 graduate of McIntosh High School.

Air Force Airman Hugh D. Hardy has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, and customs and received special training in human relations.

In addition, airmen who complete basic training earn credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Hardy is the son of Marilyn Hardy of Sharpsburg, and a 1999 graduate of Riverside Military Academy in Gainesville.

Army Maj. Jonathan E. Sweet has graduated from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff Officer Course (CGSOC) at Fort Leavenworth, Leavenworth, Kan.

The 10-month training is the Army's senior tactical course that prepares mid-career military officers to serve as commanders and principal staff officers in large military units. Officers are prepared to better lead and fight units at higher levels by possessing and communicating an organizational-level perspective of leadership, training, public affairs, and military law.

The student is provided with a broad base of fundamentals in operational warfighting skills and knowledge, resource planning and force mangement, the evolution of modern warfare, and the fundamentals of excellence in character and competence to be a proficient military decision maker and problem solver.

Sweet is an all source intelligence officer who has served in the military for more than 13 years.

He is the son of Sonny Sweet of Sugar Grove, N.C., and Emily Sweet Peachtree City.
