Plans to build a softball field at McIntosh High School were among several items approved by the Peachtree City Planning Commission at its regular meeting Monday night.

The field will be located west of the football stadium on the other side of a detention pond on the school campus. Access to the site will be provided with a eight-foot wide concrete sidewalk.

The commission also approved a concept plan for a gymnasium on a 5.44-acre parcel at the end of Prospect Park. The proposed 9,100-square-foot facility will provide parking for 46 vehicles. The use is allowed under the property's current general industrial zoning.

A landscape plan for the Rinnai office/warehouse on International Drive was also approved by the commission.
