The Home Depot at the Fayette Pavilion was evacuated early Wednesday evening after the store manager spoke to an irate caller, police said.

The caller said she was upset with the store "and would do anything to get back at Home Depot," said Lt. Beverly Trainor of the Fayetteville Police Department. Based on the bomb scares reported at Home Depot's headquarters earlier in the day, the manager decided to evacuate the store around 5 p.m., Trainor said.

Bomb sniffing dogs from the city of Riverdale and Fort McPherson searched the store but found nothing suspicious, Trainor said. The store reopened around midnight, she added.

The caller did not mention a bomb during the brief conversation, Trainor said The investigation into the matter is continuing, she said Thursday afternoon.
