PTC Fire Department seeks new volunteers

The Peachtree City Fire Department is currently recruiting volunteer firefighters and emergency medical technicians.

The volunteer ranks consist of 40 members who complement a career staff of 40 full-time and 12 part-time personnel which staff the city's four fire stations. More volunteers are being sought due to Peachtree City's growth.

Uniforms, equipment and training are provided to volunteers. Prospective candidates must be able and willing to dedicate their time and commitment to the effort, according to fire officials.

For more information on volunteering with the department, visit the Neely Station (on Peachtree Parkway just north of Ga. Highway 54) or contact Assistant Chief Ed Eiswerth at 770-631-2526. Information is also available at the department's Web site, www.peachtreecityfd.org.
