Wednesday, July 11, 2001 Waterford Pointe hosts preview A crowd of approximately 100 visitors turned out for a recent Realtors Preview of Waterford Pointe, an upscale new community in Henry County marketed by Custom Community Marketing. During the two-hour evening preview, the group enjoyed salad, hors d'oeuvres, desserts, wine and soft drinks. They were able to walk through the furnished model home, which on-site agents said "was received with gasps of astonishment and delight." They also had the opportunity to see five other spec homes, two of which are on lake homesites. Entertainment was provided by Adam and Mishell Gosdin (a Re/Max agent), who presented a wide variety of music. Karen Simmons and Laura Weinstock of Custom Community Marketing are the on-site agents in this gated community. Waterford Pointe is located on Worthington Way off Noah's Ark Road. The builder/developer in Waterford Pointe is Clyde Stephens of Greenleaf Development. Stephens has previously built in Wynnfield Plantation in Henry County and Westchester and Lochinver in Rockdale County. The community will have 53 custom homes priced from the high $300,000s situated on homesites sized from three-quarters of an acre to three acres. Twenty-nine of the homes will have water frontage on the 238-acre Edgar Blalock reservoir or the 15-acre Waterford Lake. Both ranch and two-story home designs are available, and most homes will have basements. Amenities for Waterford Pointe residents will include two tennis courts, a swimming pool and a pavilion. More information about the community can be obtained by calling the sales center at 678-289-1002.
