Cedarcroft listed on Model Homes Tour

The model home at Cedarcroft, Ravin Homes' new single-family residential community in the western part of Peachtree City, has been entered in Communities Magazine's annual Model Homes Tour, which opened July 10 and continues through Aug. 31.

Elaine White, who is Ravin Homes' marketing representative in the community, said the model home, which is a "Fitzgerald" plan, will be completed and decorated by the end of the second week of July, and she will be on duty there starting then.

Information about homes in the community can be obtained by calling 770-487-9608, Ext. 307, or by visiting the model home, which will be open daily from 1-6 p.m.

Homes in Cedarcroft are priced starting in the $150,000s, and Phase I of the 220-home community will have a total of 64 homesites. The community is off MacDuff Parkway, which runs off Highway 54 west of Highway 74 North, with St. Albans Way as the entrance road into the community.

Cedarcroft is Fayette County's first community of systembuilt homes.

Partnering with Ravin Homes in construction of the homes is Nationwide Homes, a 40-year-old Martinsville, Va., firm, which also has a facility in Arabi, Ga.

Michael Rossetti, president of Ravin Homes, emphasized that systembuilt homes offer many advantages to the homebuyer.

"They are designed and built in a climate controlled environment and never affected by bad weather, and they are submitted to 300 inspections to ensure top quality," he explained.

"This kind of housing is very cost effective, and they are built in one-third of the time it generally takes to build a house."

He cited other advantages as energy efficiency and use of the latest construction technology.

Ravin Homes, which has built homes here for over 27 years, is finishing up the homes as they arrive on site in Peachtree City. A number of options are available for homebuyers, including cabinet selection, hardwood floors, jacuzzi tubs, ceramic tile baths, countertop color selections, carpet selection, and many more items.

The Cedarcroft homes will range from 1,300 to 2,000 sq. ft., and a variety of ranch and two-story designs will be available.
