Members of the Sharpsburg Sharpshooters Sons of Confederate Veterans Camp 1729 continue their project of placing grave stones at the burial sites of Confederate veterans.

Sixteen markers were set a week ago at various cemeteries in Coweta County: Emory Chapel, Grantville City, Senoia City, Jones Chapel and Cranford Family.

The club has placed approximately 2,500 grave stones in the past five years in Coweta, Fayette, Henry, Butts, Heard, Fulton and Pike counties. There are approximately 150 sites left to mark in Coweta County.

Several of the members also have set gravestones at sites of veterans of the American Revolutionary War, War of 1812 and Spanish American War.
