Two people were injured in a wreck involving an overturned vehicle at the intersection of Ga. Highway 54 and Gingercake Road Monday afternoon.

According to a preliminary report filed by the Fayette County Sheriff's Department, Dorothy Delrose Braid, 75, of Peachtree City, was attempting to turn onto Gingercake when she pulled into the path of a car driven by Michelle Maddox, 23, of Jonesboro. The force of the impact flipped Braid's car over, and she had to be cut out of her seat belt by emergency crews from the Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services.

Maddox was in good condition Tuesday morning at Southern Regional Hospital. Braid was treated and released from Fayette Community Hospital.

The investigation of the accident is not yet complete, advised Maj. Wayne Hannah of the Sheriff's Department. No charges have been filed yet against either driver, he noted.
