The rental division of Dixieland Fun Machines, a subsidiary of Dixieland Fun Park, is providing rides and entertainment this year. Rides include the Dragonfly, a giant slide, the Fun House Bouncer, the Rock-N-Roll, Whirly-Bird and the Fun Train. There will also be a giant rock-climbing wall for the very daring. Each person will receive a free kazoo, compliments of Fayette Music Merchants, who operate a Major Music.com located on the square in Fayetteville. All kids will have the opportunity to perform with Rick in the grand finale. To learn more about Rick Hubbard, or to download his photo you can visit him on the web at www.kazoobie.com. Following Rick Hubbard, the adults get a chance to join in the fun as The Coastline Band takes the stage. They've been referred to as "the future of Carolina beach music." At 8 p.m. the spotlight shines on Robert Lee Smith and The Original Tams, known throughout the world for their special blend of beach music and still entertaining crowds around the globe nearly 200 days per year. The group is probably best known for its 1968 gold hit "Be Young, Bee Foolish, Be Happy." Other Tams hits include "What Kind of Fool Do You Think I Am," "I've Been Hurt," "Hey Girl (Don't Bother Me)", and "It's Better to Have Loved a Little." Ron Simpson of RCS Productions, a Fayette County company that has been producing quality events and concerts around the Southeast since 1982, produces the concerts on the square. RCS has produced all of the Main Street concerts for the City of Fayetteville since the first July Jam that took place during the 1996 Olympics.
