Pioneer spirit of nation's founders honored Sunday

Two South Fulton churches will celebrate the founding of the nation Sunday with the musical drama "America: A Pilgrim's Prayer, a Patriot's Dream."

Ramah First Baptist Church and Palmetto Baptist will perform the program at Ramah's worship center at 6 p.m. An old-fashioned fellowship will follow in the church's fellowship hall.

the program includes a broad mixture of music from old faithful hymns to the new rhythms of today. Tribute is paid to veterans in each branch of the service asw ell s volunteers who give of their time in many areas of society.

"America is a land built on the prayers and dreams of her pioneers, who possessed a deep inspiration and an unfaltering vision," said the program's producer, Randy Vader. "It is important to pause adn reaffirm our plege to remain 'one nation under God,' the one true God, the sovereign of all nations," he added.
