PTC man collared for entering home, accosting juvenile

A Peachtree City man has been arrested after police say he entered a home in the Wynnmeade subdivision and solicited sex from a juvenile.

Jimmy Brooks, 35, was arrested Saturday on charges of criminal attempt to commit statutory rape, criminal attempt to commit child molestation and burglary. Arrest warrants allege that he entered the house between midnight and 6 a.m. that morning and propositioned the young child.

Officers originally responded to the scene on the report of a prowler in the area, according to police. Brooks was arrested at his residence some time later, police said.

Few other details about the crime have been released.
