For the second year in a row, Peeples Elementary School took top honors in the Fayette Youth Protection Homes' Power Parade.

More than 200 Peeples students took part in raising $5,678 for abused and neglected children. This was part of the over $18,000 raised by Fayette County elementary school students for children their age who need a helping hand.

The individual who had the highest participation this year was also a second-time winner, Jeffery Hannah, a first grader at Peeples. He raised $320 from 20 sponsors. He received box seat Braves tickets, donated by Maritz Performance. The school received a $500 gift certificate from Sportime International and the class received a pizza party, compliments of Pizza Hut.
