Wednesday, June 13, 2001 Murphy honored by state WCR Kathy Murphy of Tri-City Realty Inc. in Fayetteville was named 2000 Georgia Member of the Year by the Women's Council of Realtors. She was honored at the annual WCR awards dinner in Washington, D.C., in May. Murphy, an 18-year member of WCR, has served as president of the Fayette chapter and also as a national governor in 1999 and 2000. She currently serves as president of the Fayette County Board of Realtors. The Women's Council of Realtors is a professional organization with nearly 14,000 members nationwide. WCR provides its members with an extensive referral system, leadership training and programs for personal and career growth.
