Wednesday, June 13, 2001 Quinones is Knight Group's big winner Emy Quinones and Joyce Evans Carmichael were the big winners when Jay Knight, president of The Knight Group, announced the winners in the company's 2000 "Knights of the Roundtable" Realtor promotion. The announcement came at The Knight Group's 6th annual Realtor Banquet, held recent at Eagle's Landing Country Club. Ms. Quinones, who is with ERA Preferred Realty in Peachtree City, received the grand prize for selling the most Knight homes during 2000. She was awarded 10 days for two people in London, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland and France, and a cruise on the Rhine River. Ms. Carmichael, who is with Northside Realty, was recognized for showing the most Knight homes during the year, and she received a three-night trip for two to the King & Prince at St. Simons Island. During the evening, there were also six drawings for trips for two, with the following winners: Laura Brewster, Coldwell Banker Sanford Realty, three nights at the King & Prince at St. Simons Island; Joyce Evans Carmichael of Northside Realty, three nights in Cancun, Mexico; Debra Conyers of Bob Wood Realty, three nights at the King & Prince at St. Simons Island; Denise Gines of Metro Brokers, three nights at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas; Regina Martin of Charter Associates Realty, a four-day Caribbean cruise to Mexico; and Rae Pollick of Re/Max Connections, three days at Paradise Island. Contributing to the vacation packages were Al McGuire of Bank of America, Mavelyn Bland of Bank of America, Lou Ann Holland of Sun America, Suzanne Jones of Southern Crescent Mortgage, Wendy Hollan of Eagle Mortgage, Shiree Griswell of Ameristar Mortgage, Debbie Miller of First Metro Mortgage, and Betty Randall of Unity Mortgage. Chris Knight, vice president of The Knight Group, thanked the invited Realtors in attendance for "your commitment to our product over the past year. The year 2000 proved to be the most productive year in our company's history, and we appreciate the role that you played in that success." He continued, "In partnering with you, The Knight Group achieved record sales of over 330 homes in 2000. "In addition to the overall sales achievement, we won another Professionalism Award, saw the Grand Opening of two new communities, Riverbend Overlook and Lattimore Park, opened our second apartment home neighborhood, and established the strategy that is now making 2001 a year of tremendous growth. "In this first quarter alone we have recorded 140 sales in our seven neighborhoods, a pace that is truly extraordinary. We are seeing the fruit of quality homes, built in superb locations, backed by a solid company and an excellent sales staff." He also announced that Cedar Grove Village in south Fulton County would be having its Grand Opening in early 2002. "Cedar Grove Village will feature 626 homesites on around 350 acres," he said, noting that over 120 acres of this development would be parks and greenspace. "In addition to Cedar Grove Village, we are projecting to have four more neighborhoods come on line in 2002."
