Wednesday, June 13, 2001 Forrest Homes makes top 400 Atlanta area-based Forrest Homes Inc., which has corporate offices in Alpharetta and Jonesboro, has just attained inclusion in the top 400 home builders in the United States. The ranking, which had Forrest Homes listed as the country's 390th largest home builder, appeared in the April 2001 edition of Professional Builder Magazine. The ranking was based on total gross revenue. The company had a record-breaking year in 2000, more that doubling its record of home sales during the previous year. The company closed 175 homes in 2000, easily eclipsing its first year total of 85 in 1999. Forrest Homes, which is currently building homes and developing communities in Clayton, South Fulton, Cobb, Spalding, Bartow and DeKalb counties, has grown to 12 communities at various stages of development at this point in 2001 with substantial additional growth projected. The company projects 300 closings this year. Michael Adamson, President and founder of the Forrest Homes organization, has formed Forrest Realty as the in-house marketing arm of the company in order to maximize efficiency and production.
