"It is so much better to study the Bible and see what God wants," said the Rev. John Crotts, pastor of the Faith Bible Church.

"The thing that makes Faith Bible Church different than so many others," he said, "is that it is totally God-centered. "We have underlying presuppositions that makes all the difference. God is put above all," he said.

He has been pastor at the church for six years.

The church was originally Friendship Bible Church and first began meeting in 1988. It met for a number of years at the Peachtree City Elementary School and currently meets at Immanuel Bible College.

The congregation supports two missionaries in the Ukraine, one in Croatia and one in France. Next spring about 15 members, mostly youths, look forward to traveling to Croatia and helping in the mission there.

The congregation has added a new staff member, Kent Keller. He serves as the minister to youth and music.

It is also active in supporting The National Association for Nouthetic Counselors. The word "nouthetic" is Greek for admonish. This organization trains people in the study of the Bible so they may help people through troubled times by studying what God has advised doing in a particular situation.

The church enjoys a membership of about 140 persons.

It meets at Immanuel Bible College, 195 Fisher Road., Sharpsburg. Sunday School is at 9 a.m., worship service is at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Wednesday evenings, there is adult study at 6:30 p.m. and a separate study for youth at 6:30 p.m.

AWANA for the children meets at 6:30 p.m. during the school year. In the summer months this group will be taught by various leaders on various subjects.

The church can be reached at 770-631-9283.
