Relay for Life starts tonight By MICHAEL
BOYLAN
People from throughout the community who have their lives touched by cancer will gather at the stadium at Fayette County High School tonight and walk in the annual Relay For Life. Over 300 people will walk throughotu the evening in an attmept to raise money for cancer research. Some people walk by themselves or with members of their families, some of whom have flown in for the occasion, using the event as a family reunion of sorts, while others form teams with churches, subdivisions, businesses and government agencies. There will be entertainment at the all-night event, including a musical performance from Sweet Inspirations. There will be special guests, a silent auction featuring autographed copies of books, including one from noted true-crime author Ann Rule. There will also be a pizza party held after midnight and a dunking booth. It is still possible to make donations to Relay for Life by calling the American Cancer Society office at 770-460-8920. The event begins at 6 p.m.
