Registration days set for Rising Starr Middle

Registration days set for Rising Starr MiddleTwo registration days are planned for late May for new students who will be attending Rising Starr Middle School next year.

Registration will take place May 29-30 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and 2-3 p.m. at the school.

In order to register a new student, the Fayette County School System requires that several items be presented at the time of enrollment. Parents should bring two proofs of residence which are an original recorded signed property deed, original signed lease agreement, current gas or electric bill.

Immunization records as well as eye, ear and dental information on Georgia forms must be presented at the time of registration. Parents can pick up the required forms from their physician or the Fayette County Department of Health located at 140 West Stonewall Avenue, Suite 107 in Fayetteville.

Other documentation required are original birth certificate, student's Social Security card, picture identification of parent registering student, withdrawal papers from previous school, last grade card and standardized test scores.

For parents and students who will not be able to attend the May registration, the school will also have new student registration August 2-3 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and 2-3 p.m.
